5 Luxurious Christmas Activities in San Francisco

Winter Wonderland is something that I crave every December. Beautiful snowfall, homemade hot cocoa, soft onesie pajamas, Christmas movies with romance vibes cozied up by the fireplace. I never get tired of the magic. If you seek luxury and splendor below are 5 excellent activities for you!

Helgi Tomasson’s Nutcracker

Once you arrive to The War Memorial Opera house you immediately get into the holiday spirit. The place is festive, vibrant, and filled with beautiful decor. The organization follows all Covid policies and guidelines so that you can safely enjoy your experience. Seating is excellent, I suggest the orchestra so that you are closer to the magic. The dancers truly give an amazing show worthy of a standing ovation. The choreography by Artistic Director Helgi Tomasson is exceptional. I can honestly say that I felt several emotions while watching the performance, it was captivating.

The San Francisco Ballet has successfully kept up this American Holiday tradition. I simply can’t get enough! I will be attending more shows throughout the year. At the end of the show you have a vast amount of options for photo opps. No need to rush home, you can even dine with your family.

Tickets start as low as $19, you can’t beat that!

Holiday Ice Rink in Union Square

Grab your ear muffs and warm clothes! It’s time to go out for a little ice play. The romantic scenery is picturesque, you just might fall in love! Laughter and smiles fill the air as everyone enjoys this icy wonderland!

The Life Size Gingerbread House at the Fairmont Hotel

It isn’t the holiday season without gingerbread. A tradition since the 16th century. The famous Fairmont hotel has decided to make this delicious treat life size! Standing 22 feet high & 23 feet wide, it’s beauty will take your breath away. Big spenders can even have the pleasure of dining inside. It doesn’t get more magical than that. Visit the hotel today to see this beauty in person. This outing is free!

Holiday High Tea

Exotic tea flavors, cute little hors d’oeuvres, and spectacular decor! Nothing says the holidays more clearly. One sip of cocoa or macaroon tea can soothe your soul. Bite into a savory cucumber sandwich enhanced with smoked salmon. Try unique flavors and pairings like spiced poached pears. This is a great activity if you’d like to stay indoors and expand your taste palette.
